Started sailing on an Optimist at the age of 13. He then progressed through the Lightning, Laser, J/24, J/70, and larger boats. He has clinched a total of 17 national championships across Optimists, Lightnings, J/24s, and larger boats, along with a vice world title at the J/24 World Championship in 2011. He has represented Peru in various international events, including World Championships, and participated three times in the Panamerican Games in J/24, as well as two ISAF Nations Cup finals. Additionally, he has served as an Optimist coach for 8 years, both at the club and international regatta levels, leading the Peruvian Team to significant achievements. He was also a part of the SSL Team that guided Peru to qualify for the SSL Gold Cup.
